WT would do every rank and file member a favor by not offering any explanations or opinions about anything Bible related. One only has to think how for decades WT applied Joel 2 regarding the significance of Locusts...just this year they did a 180° about-face on their previous understanding...what quacks!

The WTBTS is demonstrating the attitude of someone who has a 'could care less' mindset...James 2:15-17 describes such one in the following way:
"If a brother or a sister is lacking clothing and enough food for the day, yet one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but you do not give them what they need for their body, of what benefit is it? So, too, faith by itself, without works, is dead."
Then too, considering how much money the organization has at its disposal for helping those in need...there is this in 1John 3:17,18
"But whoever has the material possessions of this world and sees his brother in need and yet refuses to show him compassion, in what way does the love of God remain in him? Little children, we should love, not in word or with the tongue, but in deed and truth."

What happens to Bethelites?
by rickroll inso if someone puts their life into serving the cult for free at bethel, then say after 25 or 30 years they are not able to for one reason or another such as illness, or family issue or old age, does the cult have any safety net for these people or is it you serve until you can't and when you can't you just go away?

I know of two separate couples who a few years ago were invited to Bethel. One brother because of his expertise in electronics...the other because of his knowledge pertaining to audio. They both felt confident they'd be there for many years to come. Recently, both couples received their 'Dear John' letters stating that because they would soon be joining the over-the-hill seventies club...that Mother would no longer need their services. Mother had one last request of both couples though...that instead of going back home...to rather choose a congregation in the U.S. territory in need of elders. The nerve of Mother the beech!
PS: Both couples are to fend for themselves...very little if any help offered!

It's sad that aged ex-Bethelites have to spend their last chapter in life, after being kicked out by 'Mother', fending for themselves...dealing with rent, medical bills, insurance, travel expenses, employment, food...the list is endless and can/will get expensive and burdensome for them. Add to their pitiful plight...is if the only family they have to assist them are disfellowshipped children or other family members who they disowned and who they've shunned all these years to crawl back to. A good word to sum it all up is...Karma!
All be ware...such is the life in a cult!

I know someone who is being shunned for nearly 15 years by his:
4 sisters
4 brothers
4 brother n laws
4 sister n laws
5 nephews
7 nieces
The parents, on the other hand, are rebels against the WT's cruel and harsh disfellowshipping/shunning doctrine. They demonstrate unconditional love to all their children including their ex-JW son.

Amber Scorah...now there is a beautiful mind! Amber is soo fun and enjoyable to listen to. She is a survivor of a dangerous cult and she's out to warn her fellow man & woman.
How in the hell is the cult (WTBTS) to combat and deal with the backlash? Amber is one of hundreds of thousands of ex-JWs who have in recent years become inactive or, like Amber, have left the cult entirely and are burning bridges behind them in the process.

Could this be the reincarnation/resurrection of the 1998 'Pioneers Assist Others' program that lasted only a few years.
I remember a worldwide letter (early 2000s) that was addressed to the elders but not read to the congregations. It said something to the effect:
"The Pioneers Assist Others program has served its purpose and will be discontinued!" That was it...short & sweet...no explanation given for terminating the program back then...really weird!
It obviously was a colossal failure back then...so why recycle it?
